Students at Elite Ballroom can choose between Social, Showcase and Competitive programs. These programs can be designed for individuals or couples of all ages and all dance levels.
Social dances are suitable for nightclubs, weddings and social events such as dinners, fundraisers, holiday parties, cruises and studio social parties. The most popular dances are Swing, Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, Rumba, cha-cha, and Salsa, and all these dances can be danced for the simple social pleasure of people moving to the music. Going out dancing and taking dance lessons allows you to forget about your everyday problems and focus on fun, flirting and friendship.
Our Social Foundation Program is your first planned and personalized dance program. It's the easiest and fastest way to become a good social dancer. We recommend that you take a combination of group and private lessons and come to our social dance parties. You can purchase lessons in packages as well as individually.
The number of lessons you will need depends on how many dances you want to learn, your dance experience, time available to practice and your personal learning style. An average of 5-6 steps per dance will give you a good social dance repertoire.
If you like to perform and would like to share the joy of dance and show off your fancy footwork in front of other people, our Showcase Program is definitely for you.
The Showcase Program is a series of dance lessons dedicated to choreographing the dance of your choice to a specific piece of music. You don’t need a partner for that. Single students perform with their teacher (Pro/Am), and couples dance together (Am/Am).
We plan four showcases a year. These are always fun and students enjoy doing it! It’s a good excuse to dress up and have a good time with your friends.
Competitive and Social dances can be danced for the simple social pleasure or can be taken to the higher level, where people continue to have fun, but want to meet a higher standard of technical and artistic skills.
Dance competitions are a wonderful way to enjoy your dancing and can provide focus and fun for your private lessons. Competitions are set up so everyone can participate from beginners to advanced dancers. Most students do not have a partner, instead they dance with their instructor (Pro/Am).
